Changes To Our Overdraft Services Program
New regulatory requirements will change the way in which we handle overdrafts on your account for ATM and one-time debit card transactions. Currently, My Credit Union has the option to pay these types of transactions if you do not have sufficient funds in your account. Because of the new requirements, overdraft services for ATM and one-time debit card transactions will only continue until August 15, 2010, unless you notify us that you wish us to continue to authorize these transactions in the event you fall short of funds just before payday or haven't been able to make a deposit in time.
Accepting this service will help ensure that these types of transactions are authorized, saving you the embarrassment and inconvenience of a declined transaction when making a purchase at a store.
The Overdraft Consent Form explains what will or will not be covered and your options. Please review the form and if you would like us to continue overdraft services for these types of transactions after August 15, 2010, your can authorize us to do so by:
1. Completing and returning the Overdraft Consent Form
2. Calling us at 888-USE-MYCU (888-873-6928) or
3. E-mailing us at info@usemycu.org
Overdraft services will continue to be available for checks, ACH, automatic bill payments and recurring debit card transactions.*
To ensure that you have continued access to overdraft services for ATM and one-time debit card transactions after August 15, 2010, please return the Overdraft Consent Form or contact us at the phone or e-mail address above.
*Please note that our overdraft service is not a line of credit and this notice is not an agreement or guarantee that we wil pay any type of transactions. Overdrafts are paid at our discretion.
